A couple of things recently I'm very proud of. In the latest issue of Apex, I have an essay about my experience being a gay author working in the horror genre. http://www.apex-magazine.com/a-whole-new-world/

It’s almost as if someone smashed Dashiell Hammett’s seamless noir patter, Elmore Leonard’s pitch-perfect ear for hapless characters, Quentin Tarantino’s sardonic sense of irony and Clive Barker’s unflinching portrayal of sexual pain/pleasure into a blender, mixing in a heaping helping of Stephen King’s pop culture mise–en–scčne framing. Howe bobs and weaves, pulling it all together in a denouement that is as satisfying as it is completely unexpected.
This looks too good to pass up. As a Hellnotes contributing editor, I can only thank Walt Hicks for his helpful review. Best of luck with BLACK CAT MOJO (great title).

Thanks, William. Yeah, Walt's review is fantastic, very generous! Hope he's whetted your appetite to give the book a shot.
Are you associated with an anthology called In The Trenches, by any chance? Have a friend who placed his first story there.
It finally happened. I'm published! My story "Howl" which started here in the forum contest has been published by Blue Stone Publishing in their anthology "First Light".
