Thanks for the feedback, Ron & Mhatchett. I've been debating about picking up the Valancourt edition for a while now, but seeing this 2 volume hardcover set, which has ALL of the stories and the novels really appeals to the OCD side of my collecting mania. I'm still hemming and hawing because I really can't afford to spend that kind of money, and I'm a little uneasy about ordering through Haffner, because they just come off like a-holes with their "Don't bother us!" rant. I'm still thinking, but I would REALLY like to just take the plunge....I'd feel better if a store that I trusted, like Camelot, had copies in-stock, but they're pretty much out of commission, and I couldn't find copies anywhere but Haffner and e-bay.

The thinking didn't last too long, lol. I just bit the bullet and ordered direct from Haffner. I'm wondering about the chapbook that is shown in Mhatchett's picture...It isn't mentioned as being included with the books, only with the sold-out slipcased edition. A few sellers had the chapbook included with their copies on e-bay, so I'm really hoping I get a copy with my order. The collector's OCD, you know.....

Shame to hear that about Camelot…I knew Kim had been ill a while back, but thought the situation with her (and the store’s operation) had improved. If that’s not the case, I’m sorry to hear it and hope Kim gets better soon.

As for JOHN THE BALLADEER, I am REALLY looking forward to digging in whenever my copy arrives. Now I just have to keep my impatience in check, since this guy CLEARLY does not like to be bothered by customers, lol. Again, thank you guys for your input on the book and the stories!

Looks like Ghost Story is going to be up for sale in the next week or two. I am so excited for this one, along with Shadowland. I'm really hoping that Jerad will continue on and we'll get Floating Dragon. I'd love if someone did new editions of the Blue Rose books. I know that there's some love out there for Koko, but I hardly hear anyone talk about The Throat or Mystery, both I found to be fantastic reads.

I have the Hill House S/L, which is a nice volume, but FOMO was hitting me hard and I’d thought, Well, I guess I can relax my no-variants rule for such a nice production of a vital horror classic…$295 isn’t horrible for an item of that importance. Then I doublecheck past Centipede emails to get a description of the production values…and I see it’s actually going to be “$495 or more.” Yikes. Not such my FOMO is going to be able to overcome that imposing price when the paid-for Hill House is looking very attractive on my shelf...

JEE-ZUS! I love GHOST STORY, and I was seriously contemplating this edition, but that is just insane, at least as far as my broke self is concerned. I'm still recovering from the JOHN THE BALLADEER set, that I still haven't received. Guess I'll be sitting this one out!Twitter: https://twitter.com/ron_clinton
