Just received my copy of Altman's Tongue by Brian Everson. Had no idea that it had shipped; so, this was an unexpected surprise! As usual, Paul knocked it out of the park. Book looks great, especially for this price point.

I got mine too, but haven't had a chance to really look at it yet. I'll get to it soon.

Totally get it. It's hard to find the time/money to collect all of the authors that I already love; so, adding in new authors isn't always feasible, especially if you're late to the party. That being said, I truly believe that Jones' stuff is worth bending that rule. It's so good. Over the last couple of years, I'd say that he and Fracassi have been my two favorite "new" authors.

I've certainly been on the Fracassi train since BOYS IN THE VALLEY, so any comparison to his work (and, admittedly, this is not the first time I've heard that comparison) has me intrigued. My built-in shelving in our new home is supposed to be (finally! after seven months) installed on 1/29, and that wait (with all my books still in moving boxes) was the impetus for that red line. Maybe I should count the facts that the install date and Jones' new novel are appearing at essentially the same time as a sign of fate telling me something.

I'm trying to stay away from new authors at the moment (and I missed out on MIDAS), but a recent review made it sound like a mashup of grief-horror and David Morrell, which has me intrigued about this one again. May need to reconsider my (temporary) red line.

It's a very good price point. Makes me think about jumping on this. He is a very good author.

Just received my copy of The Night of the Long Knives. Can't wait to dig into this one soon. As always, Earthling's production values are top-notch. Love the interior art and wish more books had it, though I understand with the additional cost.

Man, I was really hoping that Little Heaven would have sold out on the first day so that I wouldn't have to make an active choice to pass on the book or not. Both this and the Malfi title have been ones that I've been meaning to pick up in paperback to read, so these editions would fill that void as well. If they were cheaper ($75-125), I'd be all over. At $250, I struggle with trying to fit it into my budget. I know the books will be very nice, however...

I would like to buy that one too, but there are a few expensive Centipede Press books coming soon that I'm saving money for.

Pretty much ditto for me! Would love to have Little Heaven but just can't do it at this price point. Considering that I was able to purchase the last three LE's from Earthling (the Fracassi, Everson, & Jones books) for less than the cost of this one Cutter book, it tells me that this series just isn't for me. Felt the same way when Inspection was offered. Oh well, I'll have to drool over the pictures with everyone else!

All the same things that have run through my head. Except for the fact that I want this series to be for me! Most likely I'm going to pass, but until Little Heaven sells out, I'll keep hearing that siren song.

Got home last night and had my copy of Serafina waiting at my door! Had no idea it was on the way as I never received a shipping notice, but I'm super happy to have it in-hand. The production looks even better in-person. Paul knocked it out of the park with this one.

Nice. Mine arrived a day or two ago, but I haven't had a chance to open it and thumb through it yet. Will very likely put this one toward the top of the TBR pile.
