I guess I will try again. Last time I tried it attempted to force me to log in or use a log in (?) with maybe my gmail. I declined at that time.

On second thought I actually won't. I don't like FB and will need to wait until it's presented on another platform or on Paul's site.

I continue to be intrigued. I guess now I wait for the teaser to be uploaded to Suntup's site...

Anyone else a fan of the movie adaptation? I believe it is streaming on Netflix:

Then Id make a lousy detective, as I just watched it and have no idea, not much there to go on. :-/

I do have Netflix so I would love a book about a burning log.

That's fair. I only watched it after knowing the title. I can see how it can EASILY be a number of books.

There is this older post-apocalyptic work from Alan Rodgers that came to my mind while watching the video, but I dismissed it as it's not exactly a "lost classic" that would seem to warrant Paul's attention. It's an okay read, but to my mind not up to par with Paul's projects thus far. But what the heck, I'll throw it out as a possibility, though certainly a long shot at best.

It also might help to consider Paul's description from his newsletter from December:
"A true classic, this novel is a visionary work by one of the most important authors of the 20th century. In addition to the author's name being a very familiar one..."
                          ;-)

                            Yeeahh, that's ain't Rodgers.

Maybe not this time, but it'd be a pleasure to see Rodgers get some re-releases.

Fahrenheit 451 by Bradbury would fit the description...
