I Love the cut out on the case. I can really say the dust/debris issue is a concern for me 1) The entire spine still shows on on all slipcases, and as a suggestion, I put Brodart covers on all of my dust jackets for protection anyway. You might want to look into those.

Just received my copy of King of Shadows (had ordered via SubPress). Book was everything I was expecting and more. Really love the production values on this one. I can't wait to dig into the story as I adore this series by McCammon. My only issue now is whether to go back and re-read the previous volume(s) since it has been so long since the last book. Quickly flipped through the book itself to ensure the signature/number and noticed lots of good artwork. Also really like the quality of the slipcase. It's nice and thick and seems like it will hold up to expected wear and tear. I'm still not sure how I feel about the most recent slipcases having that die-cut (?) window. A part of me likes that I am able to see the artwork as all of the Lividian covers have been pretty great so far; however, there is another (worrier) part of me that wishes the cases were fully enclosed to lessen the chances of any dust or foreign debris getting into the case. Wonder if they will all be die-cut going forward or if that will change depending on the circumstances? Anyway, another top-notch production from Lividian! Can't wait to see what their next announcement will be!!!

Ah, gotcha. Yes, my email mentioned those plural items as well, but I was kind of expecting them. :-) I think you're correct about them only going to Patreon supporters at the Lividian level.

I will remain vague until I have the items in hand and post pictures to my collection thread. I will say that the shipping notice mentions something I was not expecting, and it is mentioned in plural. I will add that that these may be only going to persons at the Livdian levels of Brian's Patreon.
