I was going to sit this one out as I have a 1st U.S. HC Fine/Fine of THE STEPFORD WIVES, but the art (and the standard letterpress for all editions, but especially the art!) sold me. I've never been swayed by the art if I've previously decided to skip a Suntup, but this one broke that rule...just stunning stuff. Apparently she will have a Stepford gallery showing of these paintings here in Seattle to coincide with the Suntup announcement, and I hope to see the show in early October.

Man, I'm jealous! I would love to see that gallery showing. That art really did have me reaching for my wallet at first, but, I just can't do it at the moment as I need to save for some other upcoming book purchases. I do hope that I can find a good copy up the road. and that the price hasn't skyrocketed on them by that point. Seems like you can never really tell with that sort of thing!

Yeah, Stepford Wives is not a book I need. I just paid for my German edition of Es today, so that's it for this week.

Yeah, it was an easy pass for me. Really like the art, but, not much interest beyond that. There's also a ton of upcoming books from other publishers that I would rather have instead. Hopefully, the next batch of Suntup books will interest me more because nothing's really peaked my interest this last quarter.

Levin's Stepford Wives on sale today, so far looks like a non-sellout on day one.
