Yup, super easy pass for me as well.Originally posted by sholloman81 View PostLooks like today's book is THE MURDER OF ROGER ACKROYD by Agatha Christie. Anyone grabbing this? While a legendary book, it's an easy pass for me.

Very solid guesses, and certainly jive with the clues. Interesting line-up...as Paul says, "Three incredibly different books from very different genres . . ." Nice to see that variety, even if all of these I can probably skip, though I might pick up that Barker...shouldn't be too difficult, I suspect, with 1250 (!) Classic copies, though one never knows. Maybe with that higher limitation will come a slightly lower price via economy of scale.Originally posted by Splync View PostSuntup hints dropped. Looks like this is the next quarter:
October: The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie
November: Lamb by Christopher Moore
December: The Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker

Hope you are correct for December, would love to have a copy of that and I do not currently own one. Would work perfectly for me!Originally posted by Splync View PostSuntup hints dropped. Looks like this is the next quarter:

Yes, and only 10 Numbered left as of a few minutes ago (8:50am EST). Might be sold out by noon.Originally posted by sholloman81 View PostLooks like the AE has sold out! Congrats to those who snagged a copy!

Yeah, if I can get one, I will, but if I don't I'll settle for the AE. I have Blood Meridian, so a Numbered would be a nice match to that.Originally posted by Martin View Post
I hope you are able to get one but be ready, it will be tough. They are already down to 65 copies available,

Yes, I bought the AE right away. It looks like a really nice edition. If I can snag a Numbered on Saturday I'll go for it. I was offered one for $1250, but that's way more than I want to spend.

I'm really trying to resist this one...I love the book design, love the art used, and it's one of my favorite books by McCarthy, though I know it's sometimes derided by McCarthy purists, who consider it too mainstream and accessible...heck, maybe that's why I like it. The problem is I already have a signed 1st trade HC of it in aftermarket slipcase and the Folio Society HC, so I've already crossed my red line of no variants. And now I'm thinking of yet another, to make it three variants of the same title? Gotta try to reign this impulse in.
