And if this first goes to the CDCC, how can I make sure I'll be notified as well?

I've been juggling a lot so I haven't followed this conversation completely... is your concern that you have already ordered the book, but you want to order additional copies when the CDCC is notified? Let me know if I'm understanding correctly, or if not, please send me a little more info so I do understand... I'm a pretty good problem solver when it comes to how our note sending system works!

Did I miss out on a CDCC coupon for the new Gwendy book...? I'm so used to getting coupons for everything that I feel like I must have missed something.

I don't think there was a coupon for it.

I was wondering the same thing. At least we are all in the same boat.

Well at least we got the early notification. We were able to make sure we got copies of what we wanted.Sometimes that's enough to just get in on one of these books.

Longtime lurker here. I never post. But since you all brought it up, I also found it a little odd there was no CDCC coupon for this one. Truth be told, as a long-time CDCC member, I have been somewhat underwhelmed with the club this year. I love CD, no doubt, but with some of the MASSIVE delays and the decrease in the gift card % off this year, for the first time, I might have to really think hard about joining again next year. Rejoining has been automatic for me up to this point. Not trying to be negative or anything, just honest. No doubt I'll be blown away by the CDCC offers the second half of the year and I'll eat my words. Hopefully that will be the case.

For what it's worth. We don't give the CDCC a discount on everything. We never have. A lot of things, but not everything. The CDCC is $99 and comes with a book, obviously we're a bit behind on the books, but it still comes with one. The book in and of itself makes up about 30% of the value of the CDCC and the discounts we do offer more than make up the rest of that difference (not even counting the discounted certs). So far for this CDCC we've sent 60 some odd notes (advance notices, exclusive offeres, discounts). That averages out to about 2 notes a week which is pretty on par for the past. Obviously the stuff we have to offer may not always be what you're interested in, because the stuff we have to offer is going to be different every year.

But like a service like Amazon Prime you have to weigh if the value is worth it for what you're interested in. Generally though if you're someone who buys a lot from us, the CDCC is really good value for your money.

Yeah, not sure what else we can say on this point that hasn't been said. We had some customers who were buying so much credit and then doubling up their savings with coupons and deals from the CDCC that we were losing money hand over fist on their orders... essentially paying them to take books... in some cases, to the tune of five figures each year! It's a good way to go out of business, so we couldn't let it continue. Sorry.

But thank you for coming out of lurkdom, we do appreciate the feedback! There tends to be an ebb and a flow to the CDCC. And if you read the latest Sleeping Beauties update, hopefully the clears up a little about the massive delays we've been dealing with.

There will be new books to announce this summer, more deals to offer, and probably a few more exclusive "just for the CDCC if you're interested" type specials, so hopefully you'll see something you dig.

Thanks again! Feel free to stick around. Everyone here is nice and friendly!

100 % agree. Not every book of offer is for me and that's fine. And like I said earlier sometimes the early notifications are enough to entrust U get a copy of a book I want. I've been apart of every cdcc and will continue to be for the long haul. Oh and still a 25% savings on the gift certificates when they run that special is still pretty awesome. Between that and the coupon codes that are offered on some books it's still a great deal.

There's a CDCC note going out today about a book in high demand. Keep an eye out for it. You won't receive the note if you already have this specific edition of it. If you have one of the other editions of the book you should still get the note.

And to clarify right up front, the reason you won't get the note if you already purchased the specific edition we're offering is to give OTHER collectors a chance to get a copy of their own for the original retail price. (Plus, these were offered for sale as only one per customer, so we're sticking to the original rules of the edition.)

We think this is the fairest way to handle this sort of thing for all of our collectors and we hope you understand. We will post a note here later today about what the book/edition is, just for record keeping.

                                Thank you for your understanding!
