I did? By openly saying I wasn't trying to be a dick I was emphasizing that the ignorance was mine and not Brian's.

It was a simple question (based, like all questions, on the fact that the one asking lacked some knowledge) with a simple answer. Brian didn't take offense; I think he got this. Take a second read of my message and perhaps you'll agree.

Are these photos any different from the 9th and 10th ones down (if I'm counting correctly) on the "Photos" tab of http://www.cemeterydance.com/page/CDP/PROD/king10? I'm not trying to be a d!ck; just curious if I'm missing what's actually new about these particular photos.

I think we're still waiting to see what the lettered edition looks like, and since photos are the closest I'll come to that, I can't wait to see those as well.

The one photo there on the page is of the book's binding, the photo above is of the traycase. But it's the same material, so they look a lot alike.

Now that it appears that truckfuls of Salem's Lot are about to go out, might we expect a Shining announcement soon?

Maybe! I'd like to get a few more things finished on The Shining before we officially announce it... so there's a much shorter wait for this one!

I believe the plan is for it to be actually out this year...I think the plan for the announcements is that we don't want to announce the next one until the previous one is out the door and in peoples hands.

Now that it appears that truckfuls of Salem's Lot are about to go out, might we expect a Shining announcement soon?

They would have bought those copies from one of the major book distributors, I suspect, so it should be just like the copies we're selling. Slipcased and shrink-wrapped. Check for any wear and tear when you receive your copy, though, because those copies have now been shipped several times and sat in several warehouses along the way. But if you find a problem, B&N should make returns nice and easy for you.

I'm toying with the idea of buying the CD edition of Carrie and happened to stumble across a listing for it on Barnes & Noble for $20+ less than the CD price.

Any chance there's something different with the B&N product, no slipcase etc. (although the picture on their site shows the slipcase)?

While I like B&N, I generally prefer to support specialty sellers when I can (in this case, CD), but going B&N might make it an easier sell to the better half.

Anything I should know about this before moving ahead?
