Thank Ron! Noticed that James Sallis is also going to be there live at the beginning of December which has me pretty excited as well! Definitely a cool store!

Have a good time. I need to get myself down there for one of their signings, but I haven't seen anyone stopping there in the last couple of months, since I've been in the area, that caught my interest. Jason Rekulak was the really the only one, and he was only doing one of their remote interviews, not in-person. I also need to get down to one of their Hardboiled Discussion groups one of these days as well...the next two are on Richard Stark and Charles Williams books, which I would've normally been all over if my schedule allowed. Cool store.Originally posted by sholloman81 View PostGoing to the Poisoned Pen Bookstore tonight to see Richard Chizmar do a discussion/signing for his new book Memorials. Very much looking forward to this. May have to bring my copy of Boogeyman to see if he'll personalize as well.

Just noticed on the Poisoned Pen Bookstore website that Richard Chizmar is doing a discussion/signing for his new book Memorials on October 24th. Will have to try to swing by for that event since the bookstore is in my neck of the woods.

Thanks. I really cheer for quick sell outs as well. :-)

I had the exact same thought when I got the latest Chizmar spam today. It really is becoming unbearable.Originally posted by Ben Staad View PostI just unsubscribed from the CD mailing list. There. I said it.

The products being offered haven't interested me in many years. Plus I have a few personal opinions which shall be kept to myself.
Small press book publishers should be publishing books, be supportive of other small press publishers, and practice top notch customer care. It's the only model that brings about sustainability.

Without wanting to get into a bashing session, any particular reason why? I haven't made a mailing list purchase in quite a while, but I still like to see them, just in case.

Thanks, and hope you enjoy those two Woolrich volumes when you have a chance to read them.

Things like this don't normally tickle my fancy, but, man, Ron, this is one heck of an item to add to the collection. So very, very cool! Congratulations!

One of my big regrets is passing on the Centipede books when they were first announced. I wasn't a subscriber at that point and passed mostly, I think, because at the time it was sizeable chunk of change for an author I hadn't read in a genre I was not too familiar with. Now, I occasionally look at picking up some titles, but they range in the $175+ per title on the aftermarket (and $175 is at the very low end), so I've made little to no headway. I do have the last two releases that came out so I need to crack those bad boys open at some point.Originally posted by RonClinton View PostThanks, Mike -- and I can't agree more: of all things Centipede has done and plans to do, their Woolrich books are near -- if not 'at' -- the top of my list.
