For example, I have the LE of Fracassi's A Child Alone with Strangers and keep moving it down my tbr pile due to how small the font seems and knowing it's going to be a struggle to get through because of it. Personally, I'd prefer to pay a bit more overall and have the slightly larger font for my LE purchases but I'm sure there are others who might balk at a price increase.
