You are not alone. That book was a rather painful read for me.

A lot of the humor is a bit dated in that one, from what I remember. I had listened to the audiobook and enjoyed that mainly due to the delivery of the narrator.

The second book is superior, in my opinion.

Haven't read the third one yet.

JDATE was awesome but not as well constructed as This Book is Full of Spiders. And maybe that's because JDATE was written originally as a web series without any real direction (?). Anyway, TBIFOS is the best in the series in my opinion. What the Hell Did I Just Read was awesome as well, but I'd have to say TBIFOS doesn't miss a beat.

I REALLY REALLY want a set, but they don't list it on the website and I don't see where to sign up for a newsletter.

I've seen a few photos and they look on par with books from CD. Hard to be 100% sure though based on a few clicks.

If I didn't mention this in the thread I did order Those Across the River. Anyone have an update on this title? Site says July of this year.

Sounds like they're having the same printer issues everyone else is having right now:

                            Those Across The River Update
I received an update from the printer last Friday about these books: unfortunately, they were unable to meet the original completion date they had given us. The new estimated completion date is now the last week of October. To be clear, I think the original date was a good faith estimate that just didn't work out for the printer.

Not great news but on the bright side, who doesn't love reading a well-written, gripping horror novel during Halloween?
