Pulled the trigger on the new Fracassi lettered. It was a stretch on the budget, but I kept the matching set going. I kinda hope February is a slower month because January has been brutal.

Snagged a like-new copy of Ronald Kelly's "Blood Kin" for $40 which seems pretty fair. This will actually be my first Ronald Kelly book. His stuff has always interested me, but I've avoided collecting him in the past because he's written so darn much and it feels like it would take me forever to track it all down.

Did you pick this up on eBay? If so, I think we were looking at the same listing. It's a smoking price and I'm glad you got it!

Nice. One of my regrets is that I didn't collect the Ronald Kelly Library deluxe set when Thunderstorm published it (of which BLOOD KIN was one, IIRC). But I have all his original Zebra pbs of them, so I guess that's something.

I'll commiserate with you on this one as well, Ron. Wish I had gotten in on that set. It's on the "track down" list, but pretty far down.

I'm fairly certain Ron is an author your either going to really like or really hate. He has a style that is a little hokey (sp?) but sits well with me.

Nice! I wanted this one, but it is not meant to be at this time. I've decided that purchases of Black Voltage titles are limited to "must have only" titles. Don't get me wrong, I love the BV books, but I had to start creating guidelines for purchasing to help separate the MUST HAVES from the FOMO.

Totally get it and do the same thing with their Lettered editions, I'll grab an occasional one-off but am not a regular buyer of them.

Just received my copy of The Devil's Pocketbook. Man did Thunderstorm knock the production out of the park with this one, much more than I was expecting. The cover art looks great, and the end papers are amazing. Was also not expecting the interior artwork and this book has multiple pieces. Super happy with this purchase!

Has anyone read the other book being offered, Anathema by Nick Roberts? Have never heard of this author or book and am considering rolling the dice as I almost always enjoy the Thunderstorm author lineup.

I plan on starting it tonight.

I’ve had his novel Exorcist House on my TBR pile for a while, but never got it.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about EH, and Roberts writing in general.

I believe Anathema is his first novel.

Always love when the 1st of the month rolls around and Thunderstorm posts their new pre-orders. Passed on the lettered and grabbed the other two.

As I've mentioned before, I'm taking a review of my purchasing habits and what is actually within the ol' budget--which I made a habit of blowing the last couple of years--and so I haven't quite settled on what I'll purchase. If I do pick up anything, it'll be the lettered.
