I ended up picking up this one. Looking forward to the new material in this volume.

Looks like a pretty good line-up. The only book on my radar is the lettered. I'm very much on the fence. Right now, I'm in kind of a sea change as to collecting due to finances and need to make some tough decisions about what I will be continuing to collect and what's not going to make the cut. I really want it, but we'll see.Originally posted by sholloman81 View PostWhat does everyone think of the June books? I grabbed all three, but my wallet is hating me at the moment for doing so!

I'm in for the lettered! I want to pick up the other two as well, but I've already overspent on books lately, so I'm trying to be good.Originally posted by sholloman81 View PostWhat does everyone think of the June books? I grabbed all three, but my wallet is hating me at the moment for doing so!

Hope you can hold out!Originally posted by RonClinton View Post
I had hoped Jeff Strand's BLOODSUCKER COUNTRY would've sold out by now. I was pretty impressed by my self-resolve to pass on it last month, but it's still there, mocking and teasing me with its continued availability. Not sure how much longer I can withstand temptation...honestly, if it had better cover art, a copy would probably already be mine.

Too funny! I only passed on the other two books because I haven't started collecting those lines from Thunderstorm (yet). My Thunderstorm collection is mostly BV books, splatter westerns, and a few individual titles from some of the other lines. Hope to fill in more of the holes someday!Originally posted by Sock Monkey View Post
I think we might be two halves of the same whole as I'm picking up the "two others" and am on the fence for the BV titles!
To be honest, I'm really eyeing those BV titles. I have the non-preorder title in paperback, just sitting in my TBR pile since last November, and I'm so on the fence if I should go for the limited or not. On one hand, I have it in PB, so I can read that and save the money, but my collector's mind is all like, "But if you wind up reading it and loving it, won't it suck to miss out on the limited?" So maybe I'll try to read it before the limited comes out...might be hard because I'm bogged down with finals over the next two weeks. The preorder title, though, sounds great as well. I've been very good at avoiding these BV titles as of late, mostly for budgetary reasons (college is freaking expensive!), but my resolve can only stay strong for so long.
Good luck with your finals!

I don't know if David B. Silva's WALK THE SKY (Douglas Western #1) is one of the holes in that Douglas Western collection of yours, but I decided to go ahead and sell my copy on, a few months after receiving it, as part of the necessary winnowing down I'm currently doing to accommodate the lesser shelf room in our new AZ home. So if interested, you can find it listed here:Originally posted by Sock Monkey View Post
Very nice! I love the aesthetics of the Thunderstorm's Douglas Western series and I'm sad that it seems to have been replaced by the Splatter Westerns. Nothing against the Splatter Westerns because I do like them as well--I do have a matching set and all--but the look of the Douglas Westerns just evokes a Western to me. I need to fill in the rest the holes in my Douglas Western set, but I haven't decided yet if that's what the goal will be for 2025.

Just received my copy of V. Castro's "The Pink Agave Motel & Other Stories". As always, the production of this one looks top-notch! Really like the amount of color in the cover art and signature page.
