CEMETERY DANCE COLLECTORS CLUB

Figured I try here before going to eBay. Anyone interested in the complete collection of Cemetery Dance Magazine? Looking to offload mine. All the oldest (hardest to find) are in great shape. Some of the newer ones are my subscription copies so there’s occasionally signs that they’ve been handled/read. If anyone’s interested let me know.

Just got an e-mail from Blu Gilliand saying he was leaving CD online. Probably a huge blow to the site.

No matter the reason I will not pre-order from CD and will not order from CD without going through the normal channels. I checked my records. In 5 days (02/23/2007) my oldest pre-order (Shocklines) will be 19 years old. I am not even sure how many pre-orders I have because I honestly stopped caring. I will eventually get them or I won't. What I will not do is add more to the list.Originally posted by dannyboy121070 View PostThanks for the info, Martin. I was thinking along the same lines as you...

I was aware of the emails saying you had to pay Richard directly for some pre-orders but had not checked on anything. Your post had me go back and look at the website. This statement on the still useless Production Update page: PROBLEM WITH WEBSITE: (2/16/2026) We are sorry for the inconvenience but our order system did an update without testing it that has to do with our communication with USPS. We have been working on this for over a month, beta testing the issues and figuring it out. We are unable to announce anything new on the site during this time as it wouldn’t give you all the option to choose Media Mail or Priority Mail (only Fed Ex and UPS). Until this is resolved, we are having to sell new things the unconventional way you have been seeing per our emails of making payments and sending confirmations. We are sorry for the trouble and confusion.Originally posted by sholloman81 View Post
I also think that it's a bit odd that new releases/ordering pages for new items (including the SK) are not on the website and are instead being handled via Paypal & direct email. Perhaps they lost their website developer? I have been a little leery about ordering new items because of that much like yourself; however, I took a chance and placed two separate orders over the last few months, and each item arrived within 2 weeks, had no issues/defects, and had tracking included. That being said, I still miss the way the old website worked and hope they go back to that format at some point too as I am still a bit apprehensive about this new model!
I tested that just out of curiosity and as of today 02/18 the site will allow me to select USPS options. I will eventually order some 'in stock' items as I still have over $140 credit but will not pre-order anything and will probably not order any books. My assumption was that he was trying to generate cash without the liability appearing on the books, but I have no idea.

And why exactly is the new Stephen King chapbook NOT for sale on the site...? From a company that I no longer trust at all, this seems pretty shady. I'd love to order that book, but I'm not spending another cent on CD until they make some moves to win my trust, and my wallet, back.

Still not my longest backorder with them. That honor goes to Shocklines: Fresh Voices in Terror which I ordered in 2007.Originally posted by kresby View Post
Yeah, we FINALLY got this book. It was ordered in 2013 as part of the CDCC #4. Disgusting they took 12.5 years to produce this book.

I received my copy a few days ago...I could not remember how long ago I ordered this book, so thanks for the reminder. Stuff like this is why I will no longer pre-order, or order at all, from CD. In fact, why I distrust pre-ordering at all, period. Any other small-press publisher, at least I know that they have a timetable, which is usually fairly short, and they almost always meet that timetable. With CD, it could literally take decades. By the time they publish SHOCKLINES, the "Fresh Voices in Terror" will be getting lifetime achievement awards.Originally posted by kresby View Post

Today I received "A Good Story and Good Word" by Kevin Quigley. I know it was a CDCC offering but honestly do not remember which one. It is a beautiful production. After the books I received last I was anticipating a glorified print on demand level of quality.

I believe the CDCC5 mosaic book is supposed to be "Sunny Pines" (from the forum "production updates" page 59 4/15/20). I did pick up the recently published paperback, just to read it.

That was CDCC5. I'm still waiting for that book too.Originally posted by Jargendeli View PostI was a member for at least two consecutive years. Joined in one year for a Iimited Simon Clark (JUDAS TREE) and a mosaic novella. That was years ago. Not even sure which year that specific club. I did inquire about both several times prior to the current pandemic but never did get a straight answer. I understand how supply chains in printing (especially in the small press) has been impacted by current events and CD does put out quality products but I do wish these backlog of promised books would be addressed with a list of each book and the status.

Hello everyone. I am curious if anyone is taking advantage of the 2023 books special that Cemetery Dance emailed out to the CDCC group last night? I was hesitant at first, but then after thinking about it I took the offer. The email at least shows that CD is committing to releasing more books this year. I also like the fact if they do not release what their goal is for 2023, they will make up the difference in store credit. I imagine I will receive some duplicates from books I already have on pre-order, but I have a tendency to give away copies to people who normally do not purchase from or are not familiar with Cemetery Dance. I am curious to what everyone’s thoughts are about this deal.
Pretty much, I created an account in this forum just to ask this.
