I have only been purchasing for the last year or so from CD. Out of all my books, CD books are by far the best bang for the buck. I only wish I would have found CD earlier. I am very excited for these books and can not wait for CDs version of Carrie.

Do you see The Shining GE costing more than the Doctor Sleep one?

I still haven't made a decision between the Gift and Artist Editions. The Gift Edition is a more monetarily feasible route for me to take since there will be six books over three years and $200+ for each AE is pretty rich for my budget. But the AEs seem like they are going to be pretty nice though and I agree with Highbury that all six traycased editions lined up on the shelf would be pretty cool. I have to make a decision pretty soon or it will be made for me when the AE sells out!

Order the AE now and if you regret it you can cancel it later, but chances are you won't regret it. I've gone the cheaper route before and regretted it later.

It's too soon to predict pricing because not all of the artists and other costs are in place, but my best guess is that they would be the same price.

I have a couple questions, are the Introduction and Afterword new to this book, or have they been published in other editions? And is the plan to release the novels in chronological order?

Also I just noticed the announcement says that if we order this one we get the chance to order the next ones in the set early. Is this just early notification or early ordering?

Missed that in the announcement but thought that would be the case. Second half of your question is a good one. I was wondering the same thing.

I have to look at the Word docs we were sent for the introduction and the afterword to be sure. I will do that as soon as I can get to them.

The plan is to release the books in order of publication.

Carrie customers will be emailed first about early ordering for 'Salem's Lot. Probably the signed edition customers first and then the Gift Edition customers next, but all before the general public.

Anybody received their receipt in email? A bit odd but I haven't seen mine, wondering if I missed a step now. Thought it said thanks for your order....

I got mine immediately, which surprised me as I thought the system would be bogged down.

I expect if you check your orders on the site, you should see it there right away.

Will there be a chance to buy an artist remarque for any of these editions?
