They are being sent around now according to the production page. It also says by the end of the year. Still awhile to go.

Latest update was posted a few weeks ago here:

It can take 8 to 12 months to have these many people sign signature sheets, which is why it was so disappointing to lose the first set. We're basically back to the point where they were lost now.

This isn't exactly a production update question, but I was wondering if you know if you'll be getting anymore 6x9 slipcases in stock? I'm looking for one for The Traveling Vampire Show and Vampyrrhic, which are very similar in dimension, I think one is 1 3/4" and the other 1 5/8".

I'm guessing very unlikely. We're not doing many "plain" unstamped slipcases these days and I suspect any we did produce would be for 7 X 10 books.

Would you be interested in a wooden slipcase that would be custom-made? We worked with a very fine woodworker for an artist edition a few years back, but I do think his cases are semi-expensive.

I was actually considering that route, I had found one guy who made custom wooden cases and are bit expensive, but I thought might be worth it. Do you recall how much they cost approximately? But yeah I am definitely interested.

If you contact [email protected] he makes good slipcases at a cheap price.

This was the site I had looked into before, I think I might try to get him to make be one for CP's 'Salem's Lot at some point. In the meantime however...

I'll probably shoot this guy an e-mail and check out his prices and process.

Thanks to the both of you for the links!

I'm wondering Cold Comforts is shipping. Does anyone know? I found a surprise yellow package slip in my mailbox this evening. It could be this book....

He actually has made a couple already. His name is Dick Olson. Here is an example of a 'Salem's Lot case.

That is really nice. I'd love one for Knowing Darkness but not enough funds. If you do go that route I hope you show us.

I particularly like the silver name plate for Salem's Lot on the black case, it looks very smart and compliments the book very well...

What do the inside of the cases look like? Are they felt lined?

I believe they are. He does that on most of his cases to protect the books.

Not quite yet. The printer is still finishing it up. They're running about six weeks behind their estimates on all of the new books, unfortunately.
