FOMO was strong for me on this one. I already have this book in a few different formats but I wanted it for the Fracassi shelf.

I'm glad I was able to snag a copy.

Looks like it sold out, glad I was able to snag my copy yesterday!

I also pulled the trigger on this one late last night. I'm glad I came down off the fence because the little copies that were left (only a little over 30, per the newsletter) sold out super fast. I also took the opportunity to pick up a copy of Mia Dalia's A Song for the End of the World. I was this close to picking up the Musolino title as well, but decided to hold off due to budgetary concerns. Hoping some money will free up soon and I can pick it up before it sells out.

Congrats. Based on early reviews the Dalia story is pretty entertaining. Did you read the Musolino story shared on Earthling's site? Curious what others thought of it.

Personally I enjoyed the read a lot but do wonder if I can read a whole book of intense stories.

I did read the Musolino story and I really enjoyed it. I'm a sucker for carnival/circus-set stories, so I was already predisposed to liking it from the outset. The tale is very dark, however I don't think I'd have an issue with reading an entire collection of such works. My preferred approach to reading short story collections is to take them in through small sips rather than large gulps, so that probably plays into this as well. I can see how one could struggle to just plow through the collection as they would a novel.

I've begun to regret not grabbing the title when I ordered the other Earthling books. At this point, I'm just hoping it holds out until after the first of the month so I can make sure Thunderstorm doesn't have anything up their sleeve I absolutely must have before finally pulling the trigger. Knowing my luck, Thunderstorm won't have anything that piques my interest and I'll go to the Earthling website only to find out the Musolino book has sold out in the meantime! I'll just have to keep those fingers crossed!
