Anyone pick-up Night of the Long Knives today? I grabbed it instantly as this has been a "must-purchase" on my radar since it was announced. I don't know how Earthling can continue to publish books at this price, especially considering how truly nice their editions are, but my wallet is super thankful!

I ordered it. At that price, and with all the positive blurbs for it, it should be worth it. 

I'm totally out of shelf space. I have many boxes of books waiting to be donated to the local library, and maybe once I get through some more shelves I'll have some empty space.

Sweet, will have to check this out when I get home this evening.  Very much looking forward to this book even though I know nothing about the author.  I guess I just trust Paul's taste with the Halloween series as none of them have let me down and all of them turned out fantastic production wise.

Just received my copy of Family from Earthling! Didn't receive a shipping notice so this was a total surprise. Not sure if I will be able to read this before Halloween, but am very happy to have it in hand!

Anyone pick up today's offering from Earthling? I snagged a copy as I'm a fan of Evenson and have never read this. I've only ever read his novels. Plus, I've pretty much loved everything that I have purchased from Earthling in the past! Looking forward to this one!

I'm still on the fence. I'm trying to be more judicious in my book buying because finances are as robust as they have been in the past.

I’m passing on this one. Until I get my new shelves up to see what kind of shelf room I even have, I’m passing on everything except for Must-Have top-tier favorite authors…and, for me, Everson isn’t that.

I went for it. I haven't read it before, and it sounds interesting.

The pictures look very nice and I'm very intrigued. The cost might be prohibitive, though, as the previous title, Inspection, was $250. I love the quality of the production put in to all these books, but it absolutely kills the wallet.

Agreed, definitely interested in both titles.

It’ll be interesting to see the price point on these, as it’s been over 2 years since Inspection was published.

I'm considering Little Heaven as I'm a big Nick Cutter fan and generally love everything that Earthling produces, but I'm guessing the cost will put it out of my reach. As you mention, the last book was $250 and that was a while ago. Would not surprise me to see the next book cost more.

I'll likely give both a pass...I like both Malfi and Cutter / Davidson's work a great deal (though I question the honorarium of "Modern Classic" to either title), but, yeah, that $250 or more cost for authors that, for me, are mid-tier just doesn't fit into the budgetary parameters I have in place for a while.
