Congrats! It looks very nice, but I will be sticking with my copy from Borderlands Press that was a part of their Adversary Cycle set.

I'm keeping my signed trade 1st HC. I would have been interested in upgrade, but that $175 price tag for just four interior illustrations (plus original dj and all the other production bells and whistles) just didn't work for me, not with the Fine/Fine signed trade 1st already on my shelf. I'm sure it'll be a lovely volume, though.

I going to be passing as well. The price point kills it for me. I've mentioned multiple times and I don't want to kick a dead horse, but sub-$100 limited editions now being the exception rather than the rule is eliminating a lot of my desire for these titles that aren't absolute must-haves.

I will beat that dead horse because I'm in the same boat as you. Those price points are saved for must haves for me these days. I still reach once in awhile but it's not often these days.

I've found myself buying more trade editions, used editions, and similar these days.

I'm not trying to be a smartass, I've wanted an edition of The Keep forever. But the $175 ask finally drove me to spend $9 on a Berkley Books 1982 paperback edition.

I do own one book from Midworld - Blacktop Wasteland, and while there's nothing truly special about that edition other than it being signed and numbered, the price was $75 (if I remember right.) I know that that was one of their earlier publications, but nothing about it was on par with Sub Press (or Centipede like someone said above.) Sub Press is getting very expensive and rarely do their books come with slipcases anymore. Centipede is definitely priced for their quality; other than them, SST is probably my next favorite publisher based on price and quality.

Man, this sums up a lot of my own feelings about the various presses right now. I also like to add Lividian to the list. Though their books are over the $100 mark, for me, at least they all come with a slipcase making the bump in price worthwhile. Admittedly, I haven't purchased a lot from them--dipped out early on the Hill books; I like Bentley Little, but not more than a book a year; and the rest sometimes just hit at the wrong moment for the budget--but I'm always happy with the price paid when I do get one in hand. SST is criminally underrated, in my opinion.
