I should probably point out that 97% of our authors sign their sheets within a week and are awesome about it.

Surprised this hasn't sold out yet. I am definitely looking forward to this myself. Have been interested in reading it for a while, and reading a fine edition like this will end up being is definitely preferable to me. I'm curious about the binding that will be used for the book and for the included slipcase. I am curious how this will turn out since it is going to be a unique LE that is nicer than what is expected from your high-end books!

Really like that the slipcase is included with this

Yeah, I've been pretty surprised this hasn't sold out yet either. This is one that I'm really looking forward to especially after I read Flynn's Sharp Objects.

We could have put it out of print if we accepted all of the retailer/distributor orders, but we want to give our direct collectors first shot -- especially since there are more Flynn books to come!

I wonder if 948 is too high for limitation. Maybe 750 would have been the sweet spot.

These price points and print runs came about via the terms of the contract and our expected expenses, etc. Considering it'll be sold out long before publication, I think 948 was just fine. If we had wanted to fill all of the retailer orders, we could have gone with 1,250 copies and still declared it out of print already.

So by buying this book are we locked in for advanced notice of future books by Flynn? Kind of like what is being done with the Preston/ Child books.

I have no doubt that it will definitely be sold out well before publication. I'm only surprised it isn't sold out already. The limitation of 948 doesn't surprise me, it is actually what I would expect for something like this based on the number for the Passage books

Correct, those who buy GONE GIRL directly from us will get advance notices on the other Flynn books and also the opportunity to get matching numbers.

The designed pages are now being proofread and the signature sheets have been shipped to the author. Once those sheets are back, we should be just about ready to send this one to the printer.
