Great article. Only problem is now I have more authors I want to read. I have read a few of them. It will be great to discover more new writers.

In case you missed it I have an article up at FLAVORWIRE on the "Ten Essential Neo-Noir Authors." I'm sure you'll recognize a LOT of names on this list.

thanks, liam. neo-noir isn't that far from horror, really, and definitely has horrific moments. i hope you enjoy the authors on this list, so many great novels and stories out there by them.

Really enjoyed the article Richard. I have to admit that I knew little to nothing about the genre before reading it, so none of the names rung a bell with me. I'll definitely use this article as a gateway into the world of Neo-Noir, as long as I can return to the real one afterwards.

It's official, I'm the Editor-in-Chief of Dark House Press, a Curbside Splendor imprint. We'll be publishing neo-noir, speculative fiction with a literary bent. More information to come soon, we're just getting the social media and website up. CS has a great history with many talented people involved, I'm happy to be a part of it all. Obviously, we can't compete with a horror giant like Cemetery Dance, we just hope to get invited to the same dances.

This is great news. Even what little I've seen looks very good--you can't go wrong with Chicago. I look forward to submitting to the forces present in...The Dark House.

    Best,
