Unless the underwear is too tight, I suppose."Dance until your feet hurt. Sing until your lungs hurt. Act until you're William Hurt." - Phil Dunphy ("Modern Family"), from Phil's-osophy.

800+ submissions to sort through, so it'll be a while until everyone hears back!

Good, Randy, you? I'm busy editing a few anthologies, one for Black Lawrence Press, one with Chuck Palahniuk. Shopping my 2nd novel still, Disintegration, my agent and I have gotten close, but no offer yet. And I have a new collection, Staring Into the Abyss, out in March with Kraken Press, so lots to do with that!

Very cool indeed. I'm in the middle of an asylum story that I hoped would venture into Novel territory but it seems to be rapping itself up around Novella-ville. It's a bitch trying to write a story about a nympho and not want it to come out too "porny", know what I mean? You know how when you're writing one and it starts to go stale before you finish it? I'm wishing I was done already so I can tackle the next story swimming in my mind-pool. I'm reading The Century's Best Horror Vol 1 and it amazes me how non-horrific these tales are and how richly steeped in prolific language they're written. I'm up to 1905 and its a tough read.

Hi all. I'm brand new in town. Being one of the 800+ hopefuls in the CD submission pool, I stumbled across this forum and thought I'd say hello. I also recently read Richard Thomas' "Where to Send Your Stories" article on Storyville. I see that you're a member here, Richard. I'm sure it's been said but that was a wonderful tool and insight you provided all us beginners out there. (I've been at this writing game for close to a year and a half, so I'm not sure I'm a rookie anymore.)
Anyway, I'm joining you folks in the waiting game. I'm a huge fan of Cemetery Dance and can hardly fathom what an honor it would be to make the cut. Good luck to everyone here!
