It's similar but has enough differences.

We watched the whole series in a few days (it's hard to watch much with the puppy dog needing ALL of the attention.)

Not sure if I've said it already, but another Hulu show that we've enjoyed the hell out of is Only Murders in the Building. Tuesday's episode was so good! Highly recommended.

Wrapped this show up last night and I will say it improved a bit in the character development area and then started lacking in a few others. Overall I enjoyed it and think there were some thoughtful moments among the craziness.

It's not that the show is bad it's just doesn't make me want and need to watch it until the end. I'm sure I will watch this to the end but it never fully grabbed me.

I honestly believe I am slowly turning into someone who is put off by anti-heroes.

I watched the first few 'Murders in the Building'. While I enjoyed it I was also leery of it leaning into silliness. I took a break until i could watch the remaining episodes over a few days. Finished up season one last night and can say I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to where they take season two.

I think the show needed the silliness and I too can't wait for the next season. Thought the first one was really good!

I agree that is needed the silliness. One episode, I think it was the Sting episode, felt like it was trying too hard with the direction of the episode and the cameos. It settled into a rhythm after that and did not feel excessive after that. One thing that I will add is that I got exactly what I expected out of Martin and Short but was pleasantly surprised with Selena Gomez. I was aware of her but do not believe I have ever seen anything she was in. I thought she played off of Martin and Short perfectly!

She is a surprise! My wife watched her Disney series (before she became a singer maybe? I'm not a Selena Gomez expert here) so I have some awareness of her acting, but this is a whole other level. She fits with Steven Martin and Martin Short perfectly.

Finally convinced my wife to start watching Seinfeld. I've seen them a thousand times but its fun seeing her discovering the show for the first time.

Watched S1E1 of a British show called Father Ted. The first episode was goofy, short, and fun. Will be watching more.

I have seen a few episodes of Father Ted and enjoyed them. At some point I may go back and watch the series.

Only Murder in the Building season 2 premieres June 28th. The promos I have seen so far have me concerned that it may not have the magic season 1 had. They seem to be leaning even heavier of cameos. Hopefully it is not an indication of the whole season 2.

Gave up on Father Ted. Pretty flat after a few episodes with the same gags. Started watching another Clunes show called William and Mary. Watched 2 or 3 episodes so far and we are enjoying it. Light romance/drama with a few laughs.

That's too bad. I have seen Father Ted in small pieces, and it looked good. I am now four episodes into int Reggie Perrin and am enjoying it. Not a classic but entertaining. The laugh track is a bit distracting though.

Glad you are enjoying Perrin. The one with Clunes is a reboot/remake of an older show with the same name. I would agree it's not a classic but I think it had some very great moments and pokes a little fun at corporations and consumers.

I posted it in the Netflix thread, but if you haven't already, you need to check out Netflix's animated anthology Love Death + Robots. Read my comments over there as to not mix the threads . . .

Speaking of Netflix, I discovered last weekend that they have RRR streaming. What is RRR? It's the Biggest Blockbuster You've Never Heard Of.

I'm by no means an expert on Indian Cinema (I think I've seen one Indian film - and no, it wasn't Slumdog Millionaire (which I've seen, but it's not Indian ...))

Anyways, it's an Indian film (not Bollywood - all Bollywood is Indian, but not all Indian is Bollywood) that runs for three hours and is just EPIC. It's a romcom, bromance, action adventure, historical, musical film. Like I said EPIC.

Give it a chance - you just might surprise yourself.

Here's a nice recap of the film (there are some spoilers but I honestly didn't remember them when I was watching the film and this video doesn't take anything away from the film itself - it does give it a ton more context.

P.S. - I love me some Patrick Willems - and you should too.

Yeah, I might be concerned too. But I'll give it a chance since I enjoyed the first season so much, and Selena Gomez is cute.
