Originally posted by Sock Monkey View PostI agree with Theli. Scream Factory puts out some great reissues. I'm not into all the movies they release, but their stuff is top notch. I already have this on Blu so I'm gonna pass even though the transfer might be better (I can't remember what my blu transfer was like; I don't remember being disappointed). I am going to be picking up their reissue of John Carpenter's The Thing, though. Absolutely love that movie and I have an old DVD that's in need of an upgrade. I just remembered that they are reissuing Session 9 as well. Between Scream Factory and CD, I'm broke. I'm so, so broke...

^yep, this.
Kubrick>Hitchcock>Spielberg>Tarantino>Bay
*For the lower director ratings, I've got to admit Pulp Fiction is truly one of the greats. For Hitchcock, besides the criminally underrated Lifeboat, I'd actually rate The Birds over Psycho as one of the greatest horror movies filmed. Spielberg's Munich might actually be his best (though we can't forget Duel) as a stupendously underappreciated film despite all the $ from the others. And you can't overlook Bay's massive influence on modern Hollywood--the guy helped make sure explosions counted as bankable assets.
But no one beats Kubrick.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It takes all types.Last edited by bugen; 10-03-2016, 06:03 AM.“Reality is a nice place to visit, but you wouldn’t want to live there.”
