    ^yep, this.

    Kubrick>Hitchcock>Spielberg>Tarantino>Bay

*For the lower director ratings, I've got to admit Pulp Fiction is truly one of the greats. For Hitchcock, besides the criminally underrated Lifeboat, I'd actually rate The Birds over Psycho as one of the greatest horror movies filmed. Spielberg's Munich might actually be his best (though we can't forget Duel) as a stupendously underappreciated film despite all the $ from the others. And you can't overlook Bay's massive influence on modern Hollywood--the guy helped make sure explosions counted as bankable assets.

    But no one beats Kubrick.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It takes all types.

I'd love to see it in theatres! Still one of the best horror movies of all time. As far as I am concerned Stanley Kubrick pretty much has the Midas touch.

I am going to be picking up their reissue of John Carpenter's The Thing, though. Absolutely love that movie and I have an old DVD that's in need of an upgrade. I just remembered that they are reissuing Session 9 as well. Between Scream Factory and CD, I'm broke. I'm so, so broke...

YouTube is my cable these days. Over a year ago I found I wasn't actually using cable anymore and dropped it as well.

Well unless it's on hulu or Amazon prime. I won't be watching. Cut the cable cord over a year ago. Don't miss it one bit.

I agree. But King's love for all different types of media is what's driving this, I'm sure.

Honestly it seems almost like a coup for cable companies. I absolutely hate watching cable, I can't stand watching episodes week to week, but now I'll need cable if I want to watch the movie in theatres. Either that or they will have a long wait between the series and the movie, at least until it's released on video. I dunno, seems like a bad idea to me, do one or the other.
