Did your magazines fit into your slipcases? I'm finding I have to bend the magazine to get it in the slipcase and I'd rather not do that.

The draft was fun but loonnngggg. It took about 4 1/2 hours for me and ended for everyone at around 5 hours. It was a 12 team 30 player/team auction style draft. Fun but crazy long and tedious.

I've never played in a hockey league but that is probably pretty fun. I don't get to watch it as much as I used to though.

Drop Mindy a line at [email protected] about this issue. There were some sizing variations from a printer we used for a few issues that we forgot about when we designed these new slipcases. Replacement slipcases that fit those issues are already in production and Mindy will walk you through the return/replacement process. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Last concert I went to was an oudoor Dave Matthews Band 2-night show, which was great. Just wish I'd have enough money to buy extra tickets to sell for a profit at the concert!

Saw Coldplay in concert a while ago with Rilo Kiley opening for them and was not impressed at all with the main concert. I liked Rilo Kiley more in the show. I think the problem was the venue though, as that concert was in the Target Center here in MN, which is a Basketball arena. Plus I was in the nosebleed seats. I am sure I would have enjoyed it more if I'd been on the ground floor, and definitely would have enjoyed it more if it was in a better venue for concerts. I refuse to ever go there again for a concert, that is for sure. Even if Dave Matthews, my favorite band, plays there again I won't go. They haven't played there in a long time, so they might be quite aware that place isn't good for concerts

All is well with the world again; I forsee some restful nights ahead (after Monday's announcement--though that's merely a coincidence). After the low-life, cry-baby, belly-crawling idiots (about 1,400 individuals) of Irwindale CA complained about their town smelling of sriracha, a judge ordered the Huy Fong food company to shut down production of its popular "rooster sauce" for an indefinite period of time. However, the crisis is, at least, temporarily over. While shopping yesterday, I found a lone bottle of rooster sauce on the shelves in my local grocery store. The stocker said he has to replace the stock every hour or so because people keep asking for it.

I was only able to get one bottle, but it's enough...for now. The Irwindale City council has tabled the issue for now, but has put it one the schedule for later this year. Hpefully, cooler heads will prevail.

                    Happy spicing to all,
And to all a good night!

Aside from the venue.... did you like Coldplay? I have heard Chris Martin's vocals live are not very enjoyable, yet I saw a youtube video or Paradise at a stadium and it sounded good.

                        RIP - John Pinette

Saw him as Caesar's Windsor last year and he was great! I love his stand up routines. One of funniest guys around. Died of a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in lung) on Sunday.

Which touches close to home, as my wife had one of those about 8 years ago, but she is fine now.

I was also shocked and saddened by this. He was a great comedian. Hopefully there is an endless Italian buffet with no lines waiting for him.

Working again this summer at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Lots of good concerts already announced. Looking forward to the Jazz Fest, Kiss and Def Leopard, Chicago and REO Speedwagon, Motley Crue and a whole lot more. Only down side is we have to work Phish as well as a Dave Matthews show. The people that go to see both those bands can be some of the rudest to deal with.

One of the good things about living across the river from Detroit, aside from cheap gas and groceries ( ) is the amount of events (concerts, pro sports, etc.) that are available are just outstanding. So many big capacity venues to choose from. Plus, the casino here and our "big" arena (6500 capacity for hockey) gets some decent shows too (Carrie Underwood, Elton John, plus bands like Guess Who, Hedley, 3 Days Grace have all played in little old Windsor, ON).

Back in the late '70s/early '80s my wife's Dad (father in law) had the lucky job of being an usher at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto (concerts, hockey games, conventions, etc.)
