The only downside to Savings Certificates is that I have read they cannot be used when a major release i.e. a Stephen King book is announced.
For me this kind of defeats the purpose of having Saving Certificates. As Stephen King books are by far the most expensive item sold by CD, a major Stephen King announcement would be precisely the time I would want to use them.
I can only hope that if CD offer Savings Certificates again, they change their current policy so that they can used whenever.
