Good try, but Ed Asner thinks your 209 is pitiful...

Check amazon for the "Showcase Presents:" collection. It's a very inexpensive collection of all the minis and specials. The paper's fairly cheap and it's only black and white, but it's everything including the original DC Presents Superman stories (when he was originally a villain) in one volume.

I love Ambush Bug. I was tempted to put the cover with the Koala that Walks Like a Man (had to look it up - it was Quantis), "Nik Nak!" or Argh!yle, but it had to be Cheeks. Was the combat medic story the one where he lost the eye?

I got to meet Keith Giffen, along with J.M. DeMatteis and Kevin Maguire (the great Justice League team from the '80s) last year at Baltimore's Comic Con. They were lot of fun.

Cheeks, the Toy Wonder, Ambush Bug's sidekick (for everyone other than my great bud, Squire). Remember when he got blown up and lost an eye? "Oh, no! He'll never see another 3-D movie again!"
I liked the short "Cheeks, Combat Medic."
