I’m not a Miéville fan, but THE SCAR looks like a beautiful volume.

The three you mention would’ve been my draws as well, and since I already have both Lansdales, the package would’ve been wasted on me, and affirms why I skip these offers, as tempting as they are.

Have never read Miéville, assume he is too sci fi for me. Probably will not start with a novel that clocks in at over 700 pages. You are correct, it is beautiful with several color art tipped in. Here is a sample, there is more art including fold outs.

And I probably will not buy another grab bag. They just have too much I am not interested in. It is a value for those interested.

Thanks for the pictures...that truly is a striking volume that is beautifully produced. That imagery makes me wish I was more interested in fantasy, particularly of the urban variety, as the visual imagery really appeals to me...it's the reading of it that always trips me up.

I was going to throw an offer at you, give Mieville and urban fantasy one last try, but I see it starts at $125 and goes up from there, so I guess I'll just enjoy the pretty pictures. Speaking of which, here's the whole trilogy in Sub Press editions:

I will probably not read it so feel free to make an offer or trade.

Suntup's latest Limited release - The Auctioneer by Joan Samson:

Have not read the story so I can offer no opinion but I love the simplistic understated beauty of this edition.
Strong earth tones and cattle on the slipcase set the mood.

The very unique Wheatstraw paper boards are stunning:

The wheatstraw is clearly visible in the construction of the paper and creates a unique look and feel.

The flat spine adds to the simplicity:

The interior maintains the simplicity with black and white illustrations with one exception. The original cover art is in color:

I am currently debating whether I should read the limited or purchase the audio like you did.
