I am too. There's a reason this book won the Pulitzer Prize in 1936. Margret Mitchell was the last of the great Southern writers that was alive during the Civil War/Reconstruction era. I trust her depictions of slavery and it's consequences (along those with Harriet Beecher Stowe and William Faulkner) more than any writer who "researched" the era."I'm a vegan. "

At one volume per month, it took me 1 1/2 years to collect. My paln was to read each volume as I received it; that lasted through book 5, then other things vied for my attention. I actually envisioned getting through this set before War & Peace!"I'm a vegan. "

Another set I attached bookplates to. I don't see myself getting rid of this set willingly.
