No, I've had BLACK WINGS and EVA for some time...can't quite recall if I bought them both at initial offering, but if not it was shortly thereafter so the aftermarket didn't soak me.

I haven't yet read the Janz I feature above, but did read his first four (?) books...he's had quite a few more releases since then. I was about 50/50 with my experience with Janz...heck of a nice guy, very personable, but half the time his work was just too...unremarkable? lacked that certain secret sauce, that really makes an author click with me...so I haven't really kept up with much past those first few books, save for this one and NIGHTMARE GIRL, another book of his I've picked up along the way but have yet to read. So I wouldn't dissuade you from giving him another try, but I don't really have that Very Special Book of his that I can recommend. Who knows, maybe the above THE DARKEST LULLABY will be The One...

Are the BLACK WINGS and EVA new additions? Very, very jealous.

I’ve eyed THE SUCKING PIT for a while but the MHB editions tend to have some pretty provocative interior illustrations that may raise some eyebrows from the wife.

Janz has been on my radar for a while and I actually owned a couple of the TSB editions of his books but never got around to reading them before selling them off to fund a different purchase. Worth seeking him out again?
