SubPress has definitely been creeping up in costs lately. SST is still the most bang for my buck of the books I've bought.
One great thing about SubPress for me has been the last few books I've ordered were already in stock at the time of the annoucement - no waiting months (years? decades?) for a book.
However, I have begun rethinking some of the authors I've been buying - do I really need those signed editions for some of this stuff?

I could buy two Suntup AGE books for that same price and the production values of any one of those AGE books tops what's being offered by SubPress for any of their Jade books not to mention that it would also include a slipcase. I know prices have gone up in the collecting world recently but this one feels like a money grab to me. That being said, I'm sure that the book will sell out for SubPress and that others who collect the series will be happy to have it.

With tax and shipping, it's going to be over 200 for the LE. Not sure if I'm going to pull the trigger or not. Also wish SubPress had done the Southern Reach Trilogy instead of CD for the matching set (and because CD's version was such a letdown). Hopefully, I can stay strong and my FOMO won't kick-in!

Well, the book was scheduled for release this last Tuesday and I received a shipping notice last week. Well they managed to get it to me on release day! I am not thoroughly enjoying reading about the time the moon turned to cheese! Love Scalzi's writing and 'WHEN THE MOON HITS YOUR EYE' is another fun read!

Thanks! Keep an eye on Watch Recon - they pull in listings from various sites and you can usually find watches at lower prices than ebay or Chrono24. It's like crack, though...I find so many watches I never knew about, but now I want them

I've been lusting after a particular one of their Jazzmaster Chronograph Automatics for some time, hope to someday scratch that itch.

Yes, $2500 MSRP from Hamilton, but you can pick one up for less on the secondary market. It's actually very well made, with a nice beveled sapphire crystal, and comes in a nice display case.

Congratulations again on the watch. It’s hecka cool and I’m sure as a Dune fan it’s nice to have a high quality watch that also incorporates the love for the book. Thanks for sharing!

I'm not trying to be uncouth talking about price but not being into watch culture I'm unable to ascertain the veracity of the information I've seen looking into the watch after your post. Are the prices I'm seeing online correct in that it runs somewhere between $1800 to $2500?
