Also looked as Discord, which is free, but I don't think it's exactly what we'd all want.
Man, does Discord NOT work for my brain. Several places I used to find really helpful -- like a Patreon tech support group -- moved from a forum like this one to a Discord. Suddenly, instead of being able to find an old thread from 3 years ago that had the answer to an infrequent problem that still cropped up, it was all just... a mess to me. Ha... Yes, I know that makes me sound old, but I'm feeling pretty damn old!

Well . . . I think a Lividian Forum (the Lividian Living Room?? Huh? Huh?) would be a fantastic addition to the site and you can be sure you'd start out with a smoldering core of very grateful supporters. Who knows how much heat it could generate?
I am so tech dumb but I've thought about it. I looked at a WordPress plugin once because that's what our site is based on, but I've been considering moving to a different e-store solution this year, so maybe not a good idea... Here's to hoping TacomaDiver will save the day!
I'm still fixing announcement stuff for tomorrow but now I want to go and complain about how confusing I found the decision to move those forums to Discord. In fact, I'd log into their Discords and do just that if I could remember how and where to login. lol

I used a WordPress plug-in and it seems "good'? I need to do some theme formatting (colors and such) but I have a working prototype. I'll PM you the URL - give it a whirl - curious what it's like for a non-me user.

I'd definitely do my best to be an active participant on a new forum.
Yes the domain makes ZERO sense but it's what I had on hand (my wife has her old make-up business domain - that might make better sense hahaha)

I tried registering, but I didn't get the confirmation email (same User ID as here - Dave1442397).
I then tried the 'lost my password' link, and it said it sent an email, but I didn't get that one either. I checked my spam folder, and no sign of the emails in there.

Very excited for this and placed my order for Baal w/slipcase immediately! Congrats on this undertaking Brian!
So, as par for the course, I was obviously very wrong about my predictions for the big Lividian announcement. I think this is a very interesting project, and from the response I saw on Patreon, one that has gotten a lot of people excited. I'm very happy about this for Brian, McCammon, and all the fans.
Personally, I'm a bit torn. On one hand, I love the idea of a complete matching Robert McCammon set. He's a fantastic author who deserves this kind of treatment and I'm sure Brian is going to do an outstanding job on these titles. I also love that the price point is low, especially if purchased without the slipcase. Even though I still buy some big ticket items, the overall increase in "standard" limited editions over the last few years has become a sticking point for me, so this decision is a nice change of pace from what we normally see.
On the other hand, I already own 10 McCammon limited editions, including the five early titles that Sub Press did a long time ago and a lettered Usher's Passing. So a lot of these titles will be double-dips for me and, for the most part, they aren't signed so they also can't quite replace these older editions for me (which I also understand is part of Brian's thought process regarding this project--this is not to 'outdo' other previous editions). I also don't really do double-dips of titles. Straub's Ghost Story is my favorite horror novel of all time and I even sold Centipede's limited edition after I purchased their deluxe edition. Furthermore, it also seems the limitation is set by a certain number of preorders during a window period of a few weeks (I'm paraphrasing from Lividian's FAQ page; please correct me if I'm wrong, Brian), so these won't necessarily be scarce. I also realize isn't really the point of this line, but factors into my decision.
I'm definitely not trying to rain on anyone's parade here. Once again, I'm super-excited for the project in general, but I guess I'm just undecided if it's for me or not.

Totally understand this sentiment and am in the same boat. I have almost all of McCammon's various limited editions that have been produced by other Publishers and am very happy with them. As much as I love the idea of a uniform set, I will most likely just purchase the Lividian books on a case-by-case basis or to fill the few holes in my collection. For example, one of the few McCammon books that I didn't have as an LE was Baal; so, I'm very happy to have picked this one up. I also don't have an LE copy of Mine; so, I will be happy to grab that one up the road when it is offered. Was also very happy to replace the River City edition of Speaks the Nightbird with a Lividian LE as the binding in the River City edition is horrible. So, overall, while not the perfect set to be announced for me as a collector, I am very happy to grab these individual titles and may be swayed by others as I see them and the production standards once I have that first book, Baal, in-hand.
