Hey, it indeed looks like they do…thanks!
Bad assumption on my part that they only carried their own edition.

Thanks, but I do want to stick with the SST production since that's who did my copy of BIRD BOX. Keeping my fingers crossed that once copies actually hit the street (it's Sold Out, but I believe still in undelivered pre-order status) I'll be able to pick one up on the aftermarket at hopefully not too much of a markup.

jeffingoff Looks like I need to eat a bit of crow as you look on and smile…after Malerman serving as my personal Bentley Little for years, I just finished my reread of BIRD BOX via the new SST edition…and really enjoyed it. Go figure. I’m not ready to change my mind on ON THIS DAY OF THE PIG or, especially, GOBLIN…but I do now want to track down a copy of the (now unfortunately sold out) edition of MALORIE after passing on the preorder offer a while back…I’d like more of this story.

I passed. I have the Lonely Road S/L of the first book, and I have the CD S/Ls on order. I have the SST Gift Edition of Gwendy's Button Box, I think because CD had a special deal on it one day and I just bought it.

I would have if I had the series from the outset. And I would have had my copy of the second book by now. Oh well.

Pass for me as I have not collected anything in the series from SST.

I did as well! Am very happy SST was able to acquire the rights to the whole series.

I had a hard time getting into The Only Good Indians. The voice was tricky for me. Some parts worked better than others. Admittedly, that's the only book I've read from him, but after yesterday's talk, I am more interested in My Heart is a Chainsaw (which has a sequel - Don't Fear the Reaper - coming out next year - AND a third is currently in the works.)

After two earlier tries, I’m giving Jones one more chance…I picked up NIGHT OF THE MANNEQUINS a couple days ago. We’ll see how it goes.

I either already gave this one away or it is boxed up. I will try and remember to look for it when I go through those boxes.

A few of those and a press is rapidly at risk. The related costs are exponentially more challenging today than they were in the ‘80s, and so in today’s precarious business environment I can’t then blame a press for wanting to more accurately hone their limitations to match that immediate demand to minimize longterm costs and bleed. Forecasting demand is essentially a predictive gamble, so it’s sensible that a publisher err on the side of caution to protect the longterm solvency of their business.
Well-thought out, and stated, Ron. Damn, we're getting close to agreeing again- I'll think of something!
