Same. I love time-travel stories, but the other elements of the book just don't hold much interest for my reading, let alone collecting. If nothing else, though, this book should expand Suntup's customer base and awareness, so that's certainly a good thing.Twitter: https://twitter.com/ron_clinton

It's currently 50% off on the site. Kind of makes me sad that I paid full price.

Yep, thanks for the alert, but dinged with no slipcase is a pass for me. Hopefully a sweet deal will hit eBay someday.Originally posted by Martin View Post

Sorry. I did miss the part about no slipcase. I did see the part about them being "dinged" however Suntup is usually very careful about what they sell.

So today's announcement is Dan Simmon's Carrion Comfort. This is a book that I'm really jazzed about and was pretty dead set on getting a copy, but the lower tier is an Artist Edition which is not signed by Simmons and I'm unsure if I want to pull the trigger on another $200 book (Dude, these prices...) and not have it signed by Simmons.
Where is everybody else landing on this one?

The numbered of Carrion Comfort looks beautiful and if I had the ability to get one--and afford one!--I would be all over it!Originally posted by Splync View PostI like that the numbered edition is atheistically similar to the numbered edition of Swan Song. I mean, they are still different materials and different authors, but I like to think that it's that Dark Harvest connection.

Same. Dark Harvest did a nice job on it and I like its oversized format, so my signed DH trade is just fine for me.Originally posted by sholloman81 View PostLooks like today's book is Carrion Comfort. If I didn't already have the Dark Harvest version, I would be all over it as it's an amazing story.Twitter: https://twitter.com/ron_clinton

I'm passing. I cannot purchase a $200 book that isn't signed by the author. There is one on ABE for $196 from Dark Harvest right now though. Signed by the author but a PC copy.

I bought it. I have the Dark Harvest S/L, so I don't think I want to spend $750 on the Numbered, even if any are available tomorrow.Originally posted by Sock Monkey View PostSo today's announcement is Dan Simmon's Carrion Comfort. The prices are getting up there. I know Paul said he's aiming to produce some cheaper books with upcoming releases, so that's good.
With the upcoming Centipede Press books (latest Dune book, Shadowland, etc), I've been trying not to buy everything
