I've been trying to not play the sacrifice game, but it is getting harder and harder lately with all the books coming out, coupled with the rising prices.

As both you and sholloman already stated, I'm surprised that it hasn't sold out either. But, to be honest, I just put my order in for the book, so maybe there are a couple people just lagging behind on getting their orders in. And, for Thunderstorm, this is a very big print run--It just might be their biggest hardcover print run ever; I think the closest is Maelstrom #3 at 333 copies--so a sellout of this size would be pretty awesome.

And, yeah, that Cisco book sold out hecka fast, which took me by surprise.

I had to get that Silverberg...one, I do like his (some of) his work, and, two, like you, the premise seemed right up my alley. I'm not big on SF in general, but true humanistic stuff (or fun ala Scalzi and Weir) really appeals to me...in some ways, this new Silverberg reminds me a bit of Daniel Keyes' FLOWERS FROM ALGERNON in basic theme, and I love FLOWERS.

How bad of a Lansdale fan would I be if I was to admit that I've never read The Drive-In books?
If you can find a reasonably priced copy of the aftermarket, you totally need to remedy this! It's a truly batshit book (in the best way). Not sure what it's going for these days, but that Centipede omnibus edition from a few years back was pretty sweet as it included all the books in one place.

+1 on each and everything you just said.
