Woohoo! Congrats. That is a satisfying feeling completing a set of books or a collecting goal.

Finally found The Decieved. It and the neon recluse paperbacks came today. So my elemental set is finally completed!Originally posted by saginawhorror View PostBought the neon recluse paperbacks. I have successfully found Leader of the Banned so I now have the first 11 black voltages. Lights Out will probably be as hard to find as The Decieved.

So it looks like Demonic will be the last book in Thunderstorm's Jeff Strand-specific Gleefully Macabre line. I tapped out after the third book in the series mostly because I decided that I couldn't continue to commit to previously announced 4+ books a year. Now I'm kinda bummed as I would have held on for two more books to have a complete matching set.

I don't think the Hard Rain line was that popular at all. I think it was Paul's way of having more affordable versions of titles to get more readers. It's a great idea, but just didn't take off.Originally posted by sholloman81 View Post
I caved and now my wallet is pissed at me. I'm really hoping that I will like this line of books. Have never read this author and can't find too much online; however, I've been a sucker for pretty much all things Thunderstorm, excluding their Hard Rain line which I didn't care for as I don't really enjoy case laminate books. Am trying to tell myself this will be an XMAS present to myself. A book collector's line of justification...
I have held fast on not buying the Neon Recluse line. It probably helps that I spent a nice chunk on some other Thunderstorm stuff instead. I'd love to see pictures of the book when it arrives! I'm very curious.

I thought about going the PB way but the story didn't sound like my thing. I'm sure it's great but likely not for me.
Hang tough, Brother.

If you do, be careful with the Bitter Ale editions. They look amazing but the material used for binding is notorious for picking up damage if you think about it the wrong way.Originally posted by Sock Monkey View PostI haven't read any of Smith's Depraved series. I run rather lukewarm on his stuff. Should I be hunting down the first three books in the series?

I’ve only read the first one at the moment but I really enjoyed it. If you’re a fan of the redneck cannibal genre (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Hills Have Eyes, etc) you’ll get a kick out of it.Originally posted by Sock Monkey View PostI haven't read any of Smith's Depraved series. I'm a big fan of the style of these Screaming Cacti lettered editions that Thunderstorm is doing.Originally posted by CyberGhostface View PostI received a lettered copy of Depraved 4 directly from Bryan Smith's store. This edition has seven chapters of an early discarded draft which I thought was neat.

Just got my Thunderstorm shipment with "Anybody Home" by Michael J Seidlinger, "Braineater Jones" by Stephen Kozeniewski, and "The Ecstasy of Agony" by Wrath James White. Have never read any of these books or authors and am excited by each of them. Hopefully, I will find some new favorites!
