Yeah, I will very rarely read reviews of books before reading them. I might look to see if reviews seem positive, but not read them in depth so it doesn't spoil anything for me. With some I don't bother with checking reviews or waiting for reviews before purchasing (such as Kin, or anything in the CDSS or Novella series)WARNING!!! WARNING!!! DO NOT VIEW THIS SPOILER! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

Have only read his 2 CD books but have to agree. Still need to read his story in Shivers VI (as well as almost all of the others). Will get to diving more into that anthology at some point, lol. Still working my way through The Passage right. Would probably be finished with it by now if I haven't been so busy with life (school, moving, and getting married tend to take up a lot of time, lol).Originally posted by Kealan Patrick Burke View PostRJK, that's wonderful to hear! In relation to spoilers in novels, I recently learned of a study that said an individual's reading experience tends to be more positive if he or she knows how the book ends. Apparently it alleviates the stress of wondering if certain characters whom you've grown attached to make it out alive or not.Yeah, I will very rarely read reviews of books before reading them. Said study having been run by some guy who could never keep his trap shut after reading a good book!!Originally posted by the_last_gunslinger View PostI recently learned of a study that said an individual's reading experience tends to be more positive if he or she knows how the book ends. I have also heard of that study, but it wouldn't apply to me. I personally don't sit and wonder what characters will live or not. I can understand that if it's the 2nd time through a story, but the first time through I don't want to know the end.WARNING!!! WARNING!!! DO NOT VIEW THIS SPOILER! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

If I know how a book ends, I won't read it. Period.Originally posted by the_last_gunslinger View PostIn relation to spoilers in novels, I recently learned of a study that said an individual's reading experience tends to be more positive if he or she knows how the book ends.
