As a sneak peek of what's to come in the future, I'm really excited about the interior artwork for NIGHT SHIFT. Illustrations for every story by an artist who really "gets" the mood of the book. His sketches have been nicer than some of the finished artwork I've seen people turn in. Here's a sample and please remember it is just an early sketch:

Night Shift, whoo-hoo!! LOVE this collection. Can't wait to see what's in store for "The Ledge," probably my favorite story in the book.

The Shining is selling very quickly: The Lettered Artist Edition is already sold out, the Numbered Artist Edition is now 90% sold out, and the Slipcased Gift Edition is already 75% sold out. This is WAY ahead of 'SALEM'S LOT.

            Curse these financial shackles...
Always looking to rent out a hidden floor above or below an old library, preferably brick or stone with hidden passageways. No pets (except cats).

I doubt you guys would ever reveal the numbers, but I'd be interested to see what percentage was sold via special early preorders, either through a subscription to the whole set or the offer that came in shortly after 'Salem's Lot was put up for general preorder.

A few dozen people did the "buy the whole set now" deal after CARRIE, which I think they'll find is turning in a REALLY good deal.

Holy biscuits! That is awesome. I'm not surprised that the lettered is already gone and that the AE is almost sold out, but to have sold 75% of the gift edition's 3000 copies is amazing! I was wondering how well this would sell in relation to Salem's Lot mostly due to the Subterranean Press edition being released in the not-too-distant past. I know there were cries of double-dipping when this set was first announced. It seems that people have changed their minds. I'm sure the high-quality of these editions along with the awesome bonus feature is driving this, which is awesome! Congrats, CD!

Any chance you might offer it one last time for the remaining three books?

They did right after the early The Shining preorder offer (I know because I was finally able to jump on).

I think that might be the last time, but I will ask Richard later this summer what he thinks!

Thanks, Brian. If not, no problem. I should have taken advantage of the deal when it was previously offered. But I'll keep my fingers crossed just in case!

One more sneak peek at a SKETCH for the artwork for NIGHT SHIFT, but please note it is just an early sketch and the perspective or other elements or even the scene selected could change completely for the final artwork:

I'm loving the way these sketches are turning out. Not sure how the final work will turn out, but these have a sort of old school horror comic feel to them.
