To add a slipcase, the retail price would need to be $85. We felt, for a revised edition, there wouldn't be enough demand to sell out the run at that price.

I don't have the original manuscript to compare to, but the revised manuscript is 880 pages and 260,000 words.

I just found the original edition in a used bookstore for $30 while I was getting a near mint copy of The Shining (unfortunately not a first edition) appraised. Today's been a good day!

            Will the in-stock slipcases measuring 7 3/8 X 10 1/4 X 1 1/4 fit this book as well Dan or Brian? Thanks!

I can't say for sure, as I don't have a copy of the book to check it against, but there's almost no way I could imagine it would fit in one of those. The original is probably at least two times as thick as those cases are. I'd say the only case on our list of cases it might have a chance of fitting in is the white slipcase, but I'm skeptical of that as well. Again I can't say for sure since I don't have a copy of the book to check against yet.

Ok, thanks Dan. I went ahead and ordered several of the red, white, and smaller gray ones just to have on hand.
