I did pay full retail by going through Powell's. My normal Costco purchase would have saved a few bucks. Of course since they do not have it yet I would have failed in that regard anyway. Since I have started using audible for the initial reads having it on (or at least near) release day should not matter, but it does.

I have gotten through the first three stories and like them all so far. If It Bleeds felt like a season 2 for The Outsider series.

Used that trick a time or two myself.

In fact, I've probably only bought/read about 1/3 of his post-2000 work. That said, I've always enjoyed his novella work, so this is a book I plan to pick up.

Save about 30-40% off the price from barnes. Can be picked up directly from store.

I am so glad I went the www.powells.com route. I had a need to run to Costco yesterday evening and they did not have their copies yet.

I have not seen a German edition. I do like the US cover over the UK version though.

I received an email from Amazon.au today advising that they are having trouble getting stock of the book. Supply chains are being tested I guess.
Have the same issue with Amazon. Had the new King book on preorder hoping for it to arrive close to the publication date; however, the shipping estimate is putting the delivery date at end of May/early June. Decided to cancel the Amazon order and just order it locally, even though it will be about 10 bucks more. Will all the great reviews pouring in, I want to read this sooner rather than later.

So far the 1st story "Mr. Harrigan's Phone" is my favorite, I loved that one. "Life of Chuck" was interesting but not great. The Holly Gibney story "If It Bleeds" is good so far, really feels like an ode to "Mr. Mercedes".

Started the audiobook this morning and am really enjoying it so far. Will Patton is a great narrator. Powell's shipped my hardbound Sunday. I did the free economy shipping so no tracking is provided but I received a message that UPS has a delivery coming tomorrow. It is probably the hardbound.
