King novel most in need of a signed limited edition...

Bag of Bones and Lisey's Story are my absolute favorites of the past decades.
The former contains the most emotionally devastating passage ever in a Kingbook - totally unexpected.
The first and only time King ever brought tears to my eyes (to put it mildly).

I believe I read somewhere that King considers Lisey's Story his best ever.
I almost agree with him - still got a soft spot for The Stand, though...

PET SEMETARY gets my vote.

DIFFERENT SEASONS would be a close second.

DEAD ZONE would be a close third. I have the Easton Press edition, and it is nice, but still I'd love a signed limited edition.



On the side topic: I enjoyed all three of those books (BAG OF BONES, LISEY'S STORY, and DUMA KEY).

Interesting, I actually found I liked Duma Key more and more as it neared its conclusion. Some of the events towards the end were particularly moving for me. Awesome book.

As far as a S/L, I'd go with It. Not because it's my favorite of the non-S/L books (it's not), but b/c I think someone would do a really good job with it.

A heavilly illustrated IT would be dang cool... I just re-read It (since I last read it in my early teens) and I had a nostalgia filled good time doing so too.

my vote is for MISERY. for his shorter works its a masterpiece, i prefer King straight up, neat, by the shot. Am I the only one who prefers it when the "bad guy" is human instead of supernatural ? As great as the movie is, i was a tiny bit disipointed by the horrific hobbling scene, as i had always wanted to know what a "salt dome" would look like! ( yes i do slow down at accident sites why do you ask?)

I would be torn about who would be best for illustrating it. Alan Clark? Glenn Chadbourne?? Whoever it would be, an illustrated 2 volume (to make it more readable) edition of IT would be beyond fantastic!!!

One of my favorites is CUJO. This one scared me the most when I was growing up and it still gave me the willies 30 years later. It has it's flaws to be sure, but this bare-bones, unneutered, horrorshow is unparalleled in Kings universe. And after seeing the cover of "Picking the Bones", let Vincent Chong illustrate it.

A gorgeous Philtrum Press edition.
I think it was even my first S/L.
