Just remember, Brian, 2013 is the 35th anniverary of the better vesrion of The Stand. So, you better kick King into gear if you haven't already for that s/l of the 78 version you'll put out next year...

I have no inside info on this one, but I would imagine it will go to Scribner, and editing can be a long process so I really wouldn't be surprised if it didn't come out till after Dr. Sleep.

Even if CD wanted to they'd never be able to take on something that big. They'd have to make millions of copies. CD making a limited edition of it seems plausible though, but thats only wishful thinking.

Read that earlier as well Brian but forgot to post about it here. I could see this possibly being a surprise release in November since his books have been released at that time of the year lately except for TWTTK later this month for the trade HC edition and then nothing else publicly scheduled until Doctor Sleep in 2013. A year and a half wait between releases is a long time for King books. Just because it doesn't have an "official" publisher or publication date doesn't mean there isn't one that is just being kept quiet for the moment. Hmmm, CD has surprised the world before, why not do it again?!

    Joyland
    Posted: April 10th, 2012 9:38:34 am EDT

Following up on Neil Gaimain's interview in the (UK) Sunday Times mentioning a new novel to be titled Joyland about an amusement park serial killer, Stephen has given the thumbs up to officially report that this is indeed a work in progress that has been completed but will need to be edited. There is no official publisher or publication date set at this time. We will update you as more official news becomes available.

I'm not sure I wood, TEri. Right now, I'm still at the point where if I don't think a book is worthwhile, I won't buy a s/l of it, no matter how collectible. I'll stick with my 1st trade HC. If it were the the original The Stand, I'd get it in a heartbeat. But not the C&unC Version (Yes, there is that much difference). Of course, that MIGHT change if I had the funding, but I can think of a few other $2500 books I'd rather have...

Great Idea Mr Woot but if its a pile of crap I shouldn't have to wait for him to die. He should just give it to me now, but I dont think he has one. even though I have no doubt that he'd buy it anyway given the proper funding
