Okay folks question time. Question one- how does one join or what is the criteria for joining the HWA? Question two- What is a Rashomon? Question three- I know Oxford English makes a Dictionary but do they also make a comprehensive Thesaurus? The one I have doesn't have nearly enough words for my tastes; its a Webster's Collegiate Thesaurus and it sucks.

2>Isn't there a movie by that name?
3>Now days there is typically one built into your word processor (especially if it is Word), but then also a lot of computers come with them installed, as well. Also, there are several online. However, the old rule of thumb is if you don't know the word, then don't use it, so be careful.
Hope that all helps.

Kurosawa inspired a lot of people, including Lucas (Seven Samurai) and the whole Star Wars trilogy (I don't even mention the last three films)

Thank you all for the schooling. I appreciate it. Sometimes I feel so out of my league with you ladies and gentlemen. One quick side note - I read the thesaurus for pleasure of expanding my knowledge of the language, not to add words to my stories that no one else would understand anyway without a thesaurus. There something like 40 thousand words in our language and we only use about, what, 4 to 7 thousand. That's pitiful really.
