Truth. I do see a typo in my message. It should have said before he passes. The guy is still alive and kicking.

I'm glad we went but I didn't care for the opener, they were very jammy, and Bocephus very much underwhelmed. He bragged the whole set, didn't sing his major hits, shortened and/or changed the lyrics of the few he did, and seemed to have general disdain to be on stage. All that said at least I saw him live before he passed.
Too funny! This is exactly how I felt about going to see Bob Dylan not too long ago. Voice is shot, he didn't play a lot of what you might expect, and there was next to no interaction with the crowd, but it was still a fun experience and I'm glad that I got to see him before he's gone.

We also saw Alabama earlier this year. I'm not sure if I posted about it or not.

Lead singer is old, voice not great but not awful, but he still tried to put on a fun show. Pretty cool that you were able to catch Dylan. It's just about the experience and creating memories.

While I've seen Iron Maiden live twice, I caught Bruce Dickinson's solo tour last week and had a blast. His solo stuff is quite a bit different than when he's with Maiden - a lot more experimental but still hard rock.
          .
Wasn't sure who the opener was going to be (it wasn't listed originally so I figured it would be a different local opening act on each date - which it was for us.) Little sleuthing via Instagram and learned who the opener was - and it was super local to me - Christopher Charles Romero. I even went down to our local music store and grabbed all of his CDs. Some good stuff.

That is awesome. I never had the opportunity to watch Maiden or Dickinson live. I'm sure it's an awesome experience.

In regards to Charles Romero I just listened to a few songs of his. I really liked What We Lost in the Fire. Good tune.

If they're up your alley, Maiden is such an amazing live experience. Totally worth going when they're around.

I told myself years ago to try and catch more bands that I haven't seen before, but kind of regretting not seeing them a few months ago when they were last in Denver.

And while I don't have any connection to him, thanks for checking out Romero!
