Ok, I may be forgetting, but did Mance Rayder die in the books? I didn't remember that and I'm wondering if that is just a change in the show or if they are already tapping into Winds of Winter events.

I haven't watched the new episode yet, so I don't really know what they did there. In the books you are lead to believe they execute Mance. Then you find out later that he's still alive. Then later he either dies or get's captured by the Boltons.
