These may not be remakes, but re-interpretations of King's work. Like Thing and Thing from Another World, same source material but ultimately not a remake. I find when a movie remake has more than one source (a book in addition to the movie for example) it has a greater chance of being good. Instead of just an homage to old film it can be reinterpreted. I haven't seen either film, but It is one of my all time favourite books so I am down for a new movie.
