Ok, question for those who finished the series. How did Ali survive drinking the "kool-aid"? He had attended some services, but being Muslim, I assume he didn't partake of the "wine".

If you're talking about the Sheriff's kid, he drank the rat poison, and did come back as a vampire. He took his father to the beach, and they prayed together until the sun rose, and he burned up next to his dead father. I believe they did show him drinking the wine at one point, but I'd have to go back and check. He was VERY into church, so even if they didn't show it, I would assume that the desire to fit in with his community would have driven him to partake.
