Some of you may actually remembering me moving from Washington to Colorado in March of 2019 for this job. Well, an opportunity presented itself that I couldn't say no to. It was a hard decision, especially since I was walking away from a year-end bonus of about $10k. Yes, I was getting a small salary increase, but this opportunity would give me more opportunity to expand my knowledge and training, plus allow me to focus on what I enjoyed about my last/current job without all of the bureaucracy.
At least this job doesn't require me to move - it's 100% remote.
So yay me I guess.

PS Publishing had some good sales in their newsletter yesterday.
If you get the Subterranean Press newsletter, they had a handful of books on sale through the weekend.
I picked up a book from Sub Press this morning and will probably get a few from PS if no other book sales happen this weekend.

First time in a long time but purchased Christmas gifts from B&N. Typically gift some type of trade that is signed or something a little special but this year my kiddos (who are adults) will be getting plain old HC's.Looking for the fonting of youth.Comment

I visited my local B&N here in my new home state of AZ, and was very impressed by the Horror department selection (and of the store in general). I know they’ve made improvements since their sale a few years ago and I saw some of that back in WA state, but this AZ store took it to a new level. They have a pretty decent layout, have broken out horror from fiction, and carry a nice little selection of smaller named authors in this smaller genre. I was pleasantly surprised.
I could have added some books to my TBR pile but abstained.

Cooked up some smoked sausage for lunch today. Sealed package and in date. Apparently it was bad.

Man, that's the worst! There have been so many recalls in the news recently. I was especially worried about the Boar's Head one as I eat their products quite frequently.
