Anyone tried Newfoundland Screech? Its supposed to be really strong...its only 80 proof and 40% like plain ol captain but everyone says its stronger. Its a Dark Rum, my brother loves it. I have never tried it because I hate rum but its supposed to be good.

I'll be happy to toast you with orange juice, water, cyanide(okay maybe not this) that week because you know what? Getting older is better than getting deader!

Hudson Whiskey website has some enjoyable videos, explaining their process along with the various labels available. Put me in mind of the short 6 minute film, The Man Who Walked Around the World, starring Robert Carlyle.

My ears tingle whenever someone says a certain whiskey is the best they've ever had! Many thanks for the tip, Dan!

I really like the name play. Next up they'll have an empty bottle on sale and call it "Angel's Share".
Nice one, Pete! Wow, nice review.

Angel's Share is a great term used for the evaporation process. Looking forward to trying the 'Cut!

On board with you Pete, I was hearing the creaking turning of the cartwheels on the Temperance Wagon in the distance, making their way slowly, but irrevocably, through this thread - however, we're back on track, so the do-gooders have moved on to more promising, if drier, pastures

Dan - you are right. That whiskey is fantastic. And it's brewed very close to where I live. I've been meaning to take a visit to that brewery for a while now.
